Ross Halfin

Ross Halfin is one of the foremost and in-demand music photographers of the last 40 years ago. Initially going to concerts as a fan, Ross started to bring his camera to concerts and built up an impressive portfolio which led to work as the in-house Photographer for Sounds Magazine.  The cover of the very first issue of Kerrang! in 1981 featured Ross' photo of Angus Young and created a new demand for colour music photography and feature length illustrated stories.  Ross has been published by every major music magazine and his pictures feature on countless album covers, billboards and books. His 2009 photograph of Jimmy Page is part of the permanent collection of the National Portrait gallery and his photos have been exhibited in galleries and museums worldwide.

Working with a wide array of clients including Metallica, Jimmy Page, The Foo Fighters, Soundgarden, Def Leppard, Aerosmith, Paul McCartney, Black Sabbath, The Who and many more, Ross has amassed an immense archive covering all aspects of music photography containing some of the most recognisable images of the last four decades.

Ross continues to photograph the biggest acts around the world, shooting on film and digital.
