He has judged, lectured and exhibited widely throughout the world including the USA, China, Hong Kong, India and New Zealand to name a few. He has lectured at Photokina and both Focus on Imaging and the Photography Show on many occasions.

Throughout his photographic career Roger has had a  number of major photographic roles with perhaps the most significant introduction of the operational use of Red Light and Speed Camera into the United Kingdom. Work that introduced the first ever use of colour photography for these systems. He has advised many Law Enforcements Agencies from around the world and oversaw the first Home Office type approval for the first digital enforcement system.

Roger has over 27 years involvement in senior positions with the Royal Photographic Society including a term as President, 25 years involvement with the Society’s world renowned distinctions including 8 years at it head.

Roger has owned and operated a successful photographic travel business for 25 years and this has afforded him the opportunity to extensively test a range of photographic equipment, including the first Fuji digital camera, Fuji 6x17 Panoramic cameras, Rollei medium format systems and extensive winter testing  of the last two series of Gitzo Carbon Fibre tripods. In recent years he has been able to put a variety of the latest Sigma lenses through their paces  on extended assignments and has blogged on a series of these over the past years.

His photography has been published widely in a range of books and magazines as well as online publications. He has also edited three Portfolio publications for the Royal Photographic Society

He has recently undertaken extensive testing of the Sigma fp camera in California and the Yellowstone winter and the presentation will show some of the results from these locations together with how the camera performed in some rugged very extreme conditions.
