I am an amateur photographer, with a passion for wildlife photography and conservation. I took up photography as a hobby in 2014 when I bought my first DSLR to go on Safari. Having studied Zoology at Oxford University I’ve always had a passion for wildlife, photography has helped me rekindle it. Since 2014 I have been on a steep learning curve and loved every step of the way. In today’s stressful world I find photography in the natural world, a great de-stresser. It is both calming and exciting all at the same time and watching the beauty and cruelty of nature is a great leveller and helps put things into perspective. I am passionate about conservation and want to use my photography to help with wildlife conservation projects – it has given me so much I’d like to give a little back.

Over the past 5 years I’ve come from being a complete novice, with a point and shoot on auto, to a reasonably successful international award winning photographer.

  • In 2016 I entered my first photography competition - Outdoor Photographer of the Year, and was delighted to have one of my images commended and published in the 2016 Outdoor Photographer of the Year book.

  • 2017 British Wildlife Photography Awards - Coast & Marine Category Winner

  • 2017 Nature’s Best Photography Africa Awards - Mammal Portraits Category Winner

  • 2017 Nature’s Best Backyards Photography Competition Winner

  • 2018 National Geographic Traveller Photography Competition Portfolio Runner Up

  • 2019 Natures Best Photography Winland Smith Rice International Awards - African Wildlife: 2 Highly Honoured Images

  • 2019 Bird Photographer of the Year also Best Portrait Gold Award and People’s Choice Award.

  • 2019 Amateur Photographer of the Year (yet to be announced)

I think I’m living proof that anyone can produce beautiful photos with a little passion and drive and a willingness to learn.
