Tamara Gabriel knows exactly what it’s like to have a shelf full of camera gear and nothing to show for it.
She started her YouTube channel while working a 9–5 and raising one baby, then another, filming simple, often outdoor videos in the scraps of time real life left her. Somewhere between nap times and late nights, she realised the real problem was how overthinking, perfectionism, and faffing were stealing the little time she had, killing her momentum, and leaving “not good enough” videos stuck on her hard drive. With a full-time job and two kids, she couldn’t afford to waste that time. So she made one decision: if she was going to hit record, the video was going to be posted no matter what.
That’s exactly how Make The Damn Video (MTDV) was born. A movement for people who are done letting overthinking and perfectionism waste their time and steal their momentum.
Today, she helps everyday creators with busy lives use the gear they already own, build confidence on camera, and share the messages, experiences, knowledge, and stories that have been stuck in their heads (and hard drives) for years.
Her sessions feel like a gentle slap in the face, followed by practical steps to stop faffing, stop overthinking, and finally make the damn video.
