Scott Kelby, 55, is editor and publisher of the Photoshop User Magazine, president and co-founder of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) and president and CEO of KelbyOne, an Oldsmar, Florida-based software training, education, and publishing firm.

Mr. Kelby is a photographer, designer, and the award-winning author of more than 80 books, including The Digital Photography Book series, The Photoshop Book for Digital Photographers, Professional Portrait Retouching Techniques for Photographers, Light it, Shoot it, Retouch it, The Lightroom Book for Digital Photographers, and The iPhone Book.

His books have been translated into at least 27 different languages including Arabic, Chinese, Czech, Finnish, Korean, Lithuanian, Spanish Turkish and more. For the years 2010 through 2012 Scott has been named the #1 top-selling author of books on photography.

He is the training director for the Adobe Photoshop Seminar Tour and conference technical chair for the Photoshop World Conference & Expo. He is featured in a series of online Photoshop training classes and DVDs and has been training Photoshop users since 1993.

Mr. Kelby speaks at conferences all over the world.  For instance,  WPPI, PhotoPlus, Imaging USA, Canon’s National Sales Meeting, etc.

In January 2014, NAPP and merged to become KelbyOne, the best online training resource for Photoshop, Photography and Lightroom. 

In 2008 he started the "Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk". In 2014, this consisted of communal photowalks in 1,052 cities around the world with over 20,000 photographers participating in walks.

Kelby is a Christian, and his most well known non-photography book is It's a Jesus Thing, a book intended to introduce non-believers to Christianity.


Photoshop User TV:

Since the fall of 2005, Scott Kelby has co-presented the video podcast Photoshop User TV, named after his organization's flagship magazine. The 30-45 minute show, which began life as "Photoshop TV" (and was briefly "NAPP TV"), is available for viewing and download each week at During the show, Kelby and his NAPP friends/coworkers talk Adobe Photoshop news and tutorials in a witty, bantering style.


The Grid:

On March 8, 2011 Scott launched a weekly talk-show for photographers called "The Grid" which airs live each Wednesday at 4:00 PM ET with co-host RC Concepcion. They discuss current photography topics, they take questions and comments live from the viewing audience, and offer "Blind Photo Critiques" at
