Michelle Parr
Marketing for ILFORD Photo & HARMAN Technology
Michelle is a self-confessed analogue geek whose work and career centre on sharing the magic of film and darkroom printing. A film shooter and darkroom printer, she is rarely without a camera loves to encourage others to (re)discover and enjoy films photography.
With more than two decades at Harman Technology, the company behind the ILFORD Photo and HARMAN Photo brands, Michelle works in MarComms and digital marketing, overseeing websites, social media, branding and community engagement. In this role she connects daily with photographers around the world, helping to educate, inspire and support the global analogue community.
Michelle’s enthusiasm for analogue techniques extends beyond marketing into education and outreach. She leads photowalks, gives talks and provides training for those new to the industry, empowering photographers to embrace film and darkroom printing with confidence. Her own photographic practice is rooted primarily in black and white film, drawn to texture, detail and black and white imagery, though she has recently begun exploring colour and more experimental creative films.
Ultimately, Michelle is driven by a desire to keep the art of analogue photography alive—championing its creative possibilities, nurturing new talent, and sharing her infectious love of film with photographers at every stage of their journey.
