Lăcră Grozăvescu is a Romanian visual artist who focuses on documenting space, using mediums such as photography, painting, drawing, collage, and film. Lăcră examines the ability of images to activate individual memories that cause a sense of synchronic belonging, the analogy of the identity, not to make the individual's uniqueness trivial, but to prove the appropriateness of human behavior. Her work reflects personal experiences, analyzing topics such as anxiety regarding life and death, memory, time, identity, and feminism. In recent years, she had various collective/solo exhibitions in Romania, Italy, Greece, the UK, and The United States. Currently, Lăcră lives and works in Bucharest, Romania and she studies Photography & Dynamic Image at the Bucharest National University of Arts.
