Karl’s work aims to connect the viewer subtly and deeply to the natural world. Additionally, it is important to evoke a sense of mystery; that there are unknown forces at work. Karl has applied his ‘visual mantra’ technique to a diverse portfolio over the years, evolving from traditional landscape to more contemporary, thought provoking work in which the landscape becomes simplified and broken down to its crucial elements. Karl has been a professional photographer since 2016 and has worked with many brands and published in the leading photographic press. He runs workshops and photo-tours, and is currently a visiting professor, teaching photography at world leading Musashino Art University, Tokyo.
