Jameisha Prescod

As a London based filmmaker and chronic illness advocate, Jameisha Prescod is driven by storytelling and applies creative digital techniques to uncover powerful human experiences.

She specialises in documentary and video journalism while also exploring audio production and poetic diary films.

After being diagnosed with lupus, Jameisha founded You Look Okay To Me, the online space for chronic illness. She explores the social and cultural aspects of living with a chronic condition through visual mediums. Since the projects inception, the community has grown to over 22,000 people online.

Jameisha has worked with numerous organisations and digital platforms including: gal-dem, Adidas, Scope, Creative Conscience, Creative Mornings and Ravensbourne University. She has also been featured on BBC News, BBC Three, BFI and BBC Radio London.
