Portrait & Illustrative Photographer
Gemma Sains is a double Fellow of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP), recognised for her work in both Portrait and Illustrative photography. Known for her creative approach and love of detail, Gemma has developed a distinctive style in macro photography, particularly through her imaginative work with taxidermy insects.
Working from simple tabletop setups and minimal space, Gemma focuses on making macro photography accessible, enjoyable, and creatively rewarding. Her teaching style is practical, relaxed, and encouraging, helping photographers of all levels build confidence while exploring new ways of seeing. Through demonstrations and real-world examples, Gemma shows how curiosity and experimentation can transform even the smallest subjects into striking images.Sessions
