Carys Jones is an equine and abstract photographer, who travels to seek out horses in their native environments and to explore intriguing abstract landscapes. She is drawn to locations offering soft palettes and to situations allowing her to observe horses in their native habitats, where they are free to exhibit natural equine behaviour. Recently she has also started to explore landscape work, primarily through aerial photography.

Carys is renowned for her particularly creative approach to equine photography. She often uses slow shutter speeds, multiple exposures, intentional camera movement and other in-camera techniques to create her striking abstract equine images. Intrigued by the creative abilities of the camera, Carys uses it to see what others may not.

Carys is fortunate to be able to combine and pursue her two passions - horses and photography. - which have their roots in childhood when she was fortunate enough to have both a pony and a camera. These days, her work has appeared in print in national titles and online magazines, whilst her clients have included national and international retailers. She also leads residential workshops for fine art photography company Ocean Capture.

When not travelling, Carys can usually be found at the stables with her own horse.
