Alan Hewitt
Alan Hewitt is a professional wildlife photographer, filmmaker, writer and safari leader specialising in African wildlife, with a particular focus on animal behaviour, interactions and the realities of life in the wild.
Alan works extensively in the field, leading photography safaris across East and Southern Africa while continuing to build a body of work grounded in patience, fieldcraft and ethical wildlife encounters. His images prioritise behaviour and story over spectacle, often exploring the harsher and less romanticised aspects of nature.
Alongside his photography, Alan is an experienced educator and presenter, known for breaking down complex camera techniques into practical, real world advice drawn directly from the field. He is also a regular writer and podcaster, using these platforms to challenge common misconceptions about wildlife and conservation.
