Since the founding of our company in 1918, we at Panasonic have been providing better living for our customers, always making 'people' central to our activities, and thus focusing on 'people's lives'. Going forward from this, and based on our innovative electronics technology, we will continue to provide a wide variety of products, systems and services. These will range from consumer electronics products to industrial devices, building products and housing. We will continue to work hard to offer new value for better living in various areas such as homes, communities, businesses, the travel and car indutries - helping to realise 'A Better Life, A Better World' for each individual customer.
LUMIX is Panasonic's brand of digital cameras, ranging from pocket point-and-shoot models, camcorders to mirrorless compact system cameras (CSC) or DSLM's. Our compact digital cameras DMC-LC5 and DMC-F7, were the first products of the LUMIX series, released in 2001. Many LUMIX models are fitted with Leica lenses jointly developed by Panasonic and Leica Camera AG. Most of our LUMIX cameras use differing releases of the Panasonic Venus Engine for digital image processing; the original version in 2002. LUMIX is also the first brand to launch mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras in 2008. And in 2014, we were the first to introduce 4K Photo/Video which provides 30fps and more recently releasing "Post Focus," which can capture up to 49 points of focus in a single burst.
We're for progress. Not just baby steps but giant leaps forward. Always with a singular focus - to make it easier for every photographer. From social shooters to fanatical film makers to take better images and movies. We believe cameras should free your creativity, not weigh you down, tie you down or hold you back. But let you capture and share the world the way you see it. We are LUMIX G. We are changing photography.
