Adventure Photography in Tuscany
It’s incredibly difficult to do Tuscany justice with words only. Its a timeless and romantic experience simply driving the long, sweeping roads even before you have the chance to explore on foot passing golden wheat fields, silver olive groves, ancient oak and chestnut forests with truffle-rich soil, pea-green vineyards marching in sharp terraced ranks on rolling hillsides form a graceful prelude to soul- soaring medieval hilltop villages and walled Etruscan towns. Then, of course, there are the mountain ranges; and it is here that we have discovered our photographic sanctuary.
A partly restored large and airy Tuscan Villa sitting in it’s own 40 acres of woodland and meadows some 800 metres above sea level. There are no near neighbours- but local friends provide fabulous olive oil, eggs, fruit & vegetables, chestnut honey and wines. There are a number of cucina contadina ( Farmer’s Kitchens ) nearby who provide mushrooms, wild boar cured meats and salamis.
