Sophie is a BAFTA-winning Director of Photography and wildlife filmmaker, whose incredible catalogue of work spans over three decades.

In this session, with reference to her celebrated career across the BBC, National Geographic, Netflix, Disney and more, she'll call on all wildlife filmmakers and photographers to rediscover respect and authenticity in nature storytelling, and protect what it is we are attempting to capture through the lens. Sophie has witnessed with her own eyes the herd mentality that can take hold, and the way in which the camera can be a barrier to empathy; this is her plea to reconnect with the natural world and remember why we are out there, in the wild.
