Da Vinci got it wrong! The histogram myth

We hear a lot of advice about how an image histogram should look; for it to be correct exposure, under-exposed or over-exposed. Guess what, it's complete nonsense! The histogram means nothing without considering the vision that the photographer had for the photo, and also knowledge of the scene it is showing. This talk, with examples from paintings from the most famous painters, shows how there is no 'correct' histogram; it's an absolute myth (unless Da Vinci made a mistake when creating paintings). It will also talk about times when the histogram IS useful, and how we can use it to improve our photography.
