This fascinating session delves into the making of Canon's immersive, underwater VR film, shot in the Seychelles, which aims to educate audiences about the plight of coral reefs, and how science - and images - are helping save them. Here, representatives from Canon and production agency ITCH are joined by marine biologist and underwater cinematographer, Madeline St. Clair to reveal what it really took to deliver this content in a remote, high-pressure environment. They will uncover the creative, logistical, and technical decisions that shaped the project, diving into the challenges of filming above and below water, the performance of equipment in real-world conditions, and the role of scientific expertise in shaping how the environment was captured.
