Tom Martin

Tom Martin made a name for himself as a photographer working in the music industry, regularly shooting for magazines like NME and Kerrang. His work has allowed him to travel all over the world touring with bands in places like Russia and Japan as well as photographing hundreds of music festivals and gigs. Tom has been commissioned by bands like Elbow, Basement Jaxx and The Stone Roses.
 
After 10 years in the music industry Tom’s career direction became refocused on advertising. Now represented by the Peter Bailey Company he shoot’s commercial commissions for brands such as Budweiser and TGI Friday’s as well as editorial jobs for the Guardian and Observer. Tom built up a close working relationship with Canon and has regularly been commissioned to shoot imagery for their product launches.  
 
In 2013 Tom completed his Photography BA (Hons) degree as a mature student, he was then delighted to be asked to return the following year as a lecturer teaching on the course. Now working full time as photographer again, Tom still enjoys presenting talks as a guest speaker and discussing his professional journey with students and other professionals.
