Edmond Terakopian

The Daily Mirror named Edmond Terakopian as the author of one of the world’s most iconic photographs, referring to his photograph from the July 7th terrorist bombings in London. One of these iconic photographs was also been published in “100 Photos of the 21st Century” by Editions de la Martiniere.

Edmond Terakopian started as a news photographer in 1989, working his way up through the regional papers, national and international newspapers, magazines and wire agencies. He has participated in several group and solo exhibitions, exhibiting in over 80 cities worldwide, and has also been published in numerous books.

Edmond’s main areas of interest are news, features, fashion, portraits and commercial photography. He’s also a passionate street photographer, devoting himself to documenting daily life on the streets.

He has an award from the prestigious World Press Photo contest and has also being named the British Press Awards Photographer of the Year. To date, he has amassed near 60 awards and nominations, nationally and internationally, for his photography and film making. Alongside his professional assignments, he also works on long term personal projects. He has given talks for Apple, Canon, Leica, Nik Software, Olympus and SnapperStuff, alongside holding bespoke one on workshops.
